Political activist, writer and public speaker Angela Davis has never wavered in her quest for women’s rights and the eradication of poverty and oppression. An icon of the 1970s Black liberation movement, her work around issues of gender, race, class and prisons has influenced critical thought and social movements for years.

Eighty percent of all human trafficking victims are women and girls, and seventy percent of them are trafficked for prostitution. Norma Ramos, Executive Director of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, details how her organization remains focused on bringing attention to human trafficking, especially sex trafficking of women and girls.

Founded in 1966, the National Organization for Women has been dedicated to bringing about equality for all women. Their main issues include: reproductive rights, promoting diversity, violence against women, constitutional equality and economic justice. Terry O'Neill, President of NOW, discusses the impact the group hopes to have in 2011.

This year marks Aretha's 50th anniversary in show business! To celebrate, her first label—Columbia Records—is releasing her groundbreaking works from 1960 to 1965 in a 12-disc box set called "Take A Look: Aretha Complete on Columbia". We’ll also get an EXCLUSIVE preview of her new song, "The Way We Were," with Ron Isley.
