Acclaimed author, poet and performer Maya Angelou died on Wednesday at the age of 86. We pay tribute to her life and career with excerpts from interviews in 2007 and 2013. You can also hear recitations by Dr. Angelou of her poems “Still I Rise” and “Phenomenal Woman”, and we will replay her appearance at the 1993 inauguration of President Bill Clinton, where she recited her poem, “On the Pulse of Morning”. |
