Christopher Farley – “Game World”

Christopher Farley

According to a study by the Cooperative Children’s Book Center at the University of Wisconsin, only 93 out of 3,200 children’s books published last year were about African Americans. The numbers are equally dismal for children’s books about Latinos, Asians and Native Americans. Christopher Farley, a senior editor at “The Wall Street Journal” and the author of “Game World”, a fantasy adventure featuring an ethnically diverse cast of characters, explains why there are so few kids of color in children’s books.
