Ambassador Johnnie Carson, senior advisor to the president of the U.S. Institute of Peace and a former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, previews President Obama’s upcoming trip to Kenya and Ethiopia.

Simultaneous computer glitches that crippled United Airlines, The Wall Street Journal, and the New York Stock Exchange last week were widely described as a coincidence, but the incidents raised questions on just how vulnerable government and private networks are to potentially devastating cyberattacks. Oliver Tavakoli, chief technology officer at the cybersecurity firm Vectra Networks, joins us to explain the risks.
