Betty Reid Soskin

(Originally aired June 6) Betty Reid Soskin is a park ranger with the National Park Service, assigned to the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, California. At age 94, Soskin is the oldest national park ranger in the United States. She has been celebrated as, “A tireless voice for making sure the African-American wartime experience… has a prominent place in the park’s history.” Prior to this, Ms. Soskin worked as clerk in a segregated union hall and was active in the civil rights movement. In this special hour-long conversation, Betty Reid Soskin reflects on her life and her many life lessons.
