Stand-up comedian W. Kamau Bell is used to being in uncomfortable and even hostile situations. In his latest show, he takes that concept to a new level. He reveals what he discovered about our nations diversity while making his show, United Shades of America. He also talks about his latest comedy special for Showtime, called W. Kamau Bell: Semi Prominent Negro. Jon A. Shields is an associate professor of government at Claremont McKenna College and the co-author (with Joshua M. Dunno) of the recent text Passing On the Right: Conservative Professors In The Progressive University. He discusses what life is really like for professors whose political beliefs are right of center.
