Jeff Reichert and Farihah Zaman – “Remote Area Medical”

Remote Area Medical is an organization that brings volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, optometrists and other professionals to areas where vast numbers of people find it difficult to access or afford health care. The need is so great that some patients camp out for days to get treatment. Husband-and-wife filmmakers Jeff Reichert and Farihah Zaman chronicle one of the organization’s massive three-day clinics in their new documentary, “Remote Area Medical”. They join us to discuss the film.
