Seven months have passed since nearly 300 Nigerian schoolgirls were kidnapped by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram. In a new report, “Those Terrible Weeks in Their Camp: Boko Haram Violence against Women and Girls in Northeast Nigeria”, Human Rights Watch documents the accounts of nearly 50 witnesses and victims of Boko Haram kidnappings. Rona Peligal, deputy director of the Africa Division of Human Rights Watch, shares their findings.
