In remembrance of Franklin, we bring to you highlights of a special public conversation recorded live at the Los Angeles Central Library in February of 2006 in which he detailed his life travels and travails in his quest to learn his history, both personal and racial. Soul throwback Leela James channels the late James Brown on her new CD, Let's Do it Again.
